The following Partnership Perspective, “Caregiving and Health Care: the Situationship” represents my thoughts about how we need to reframe our conception of health and care in the US, and what we can do about correcting the current failure to meet our needs. It is well passed the time when we can sit back and wait for reform. We will need to be proactive in many ways to avoid our usual pattern of incremental modification in our social, health and economic institutions. This is one perspective on how we are capable of proceeding in advancing reform at this critical juncture.
